Conflicts of Interest

SurgiCore Ambulatory Surgery Center – Conflicts of Interest

Effective Date: 7/10/2025

At SurgiCore Ambulatory Surgery Center, we are committed to ensuring that medical decisions, research, and business practices are guided solely by the best interests of our patients and the integrity of our operations. We take the potential for conflicts of interest seriously and have established policies to identify, manage, and mitigate any real or perceived conflicts.

1. Our Approach to Conflicts of Interest

A conflict of interest arises when the private interests of our physicians, researchers, administrative staff, or business partners may (or may appear to) interfere with their professional responsibilities. At SurgiCore, we strive to prevent such situations from influencing clinical judgment, patient care, or research integrity.

To that end, SurgiCore:

  • Maintains a written Conflicts of Interest Policy that applies to all staff, leadership, and affiliated professionals
  • Requires regular disclosure of financial relationships or affiliations that may present conflicts
  • Actively monitors potential conflicts through periodic reviews and compliance oversight
  • Takes appropriate actions to eliminate, reduce, or manage any conflict situations
2. Physician Ownership and Affiliations

Some of the physicians who perform procedures at SurgiCore may have an ownership interest in the facility. In accordance with federal and state transparency laws, we provide notice to patients of such ownership interests and are available to answer any related questions.

We also ensure that physician relationships with external organizations— such as consulting roles, speaking engagements, or research collaborations —are disclosed and reviewed in accordance with our conflict-of-interest policies.

3. Transparency and Patient Rights

We believe that patients deserve to understand the relationships their care providers may have with outside entities. Upon request, we are happy to disclose information about:

  • Financial interests or ownership in SurgiCore Centers (Please, note: Each center listed on the website is an independent medical facility. SurgiCore provides management services only. Each center is solely responsible for its own operations, patient care and compliance.)
  • Relationships between our providers and healthcare companies or device manufacturers
  • Any potential influence these relationships may have on your care
